USE AND APPLICATIONS
The MAST Tool is designed to allow the practitioner to perform a variety of therapy techniques with one tool. It was developed and clinically evaluated to assist in effective clinical massage treatments.
Our Tool can assist chiropractors, physical therapists, occupational therapists, athletic trainers, massage therapists, acupuncturists, and others trained in soft tissue massage therapy. Proper patient care knowledge is needed for safe use. It is recommended that the practitioner be knowledgeable in acupressure, active release and/or IASTM (instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization) if this tool is used for such purposes.
For soft muscle tissue use only. Not for use on bone, cartilage, nerves or blood vessels. Overuse may cause bruising.
The Tool has multiple surfaces and planes that can be positioned on and across specific muscles or muscle groups.
Designed for the right or left hand, large or small hands; or for two handed treatment methods as well.

Each section of the MAST Tool can be used on various muscle groups depending on the treatment need. 1
Massage a specific muscle group or muscle fibers with the spatulated flat end or curved sides.
Rotate across shoulders or calves with the center wings.
Glide along long muscles of back, legs or arms with the bottom flatten area.
Apply acupressure or active release to a specific point with the rounded end.

In the background
There are many devices available for massage therapy. Some require up to five pieces to complete a process. Some are cheaply made, others have limited function and treatment success. As we studied the need for an improved therapy tool, personal, professional and practical experiences came together to create what we now call The Mast Tool. The original prototype was hand forged out of stainless steel by a very talented craftsman. The prototype was then evaluated in a clinical setting. After a few modifications, our tool was ready for production. It is now made by some of the top metal fabrication experts in the upper Midwest. We use only the finest 304 grade stainless stain to make our product.
